Burna Boy Gets Nominated For Grammy Awards For The Fourth In A Row
Burna Boy has seemingly made it a culture of multiple nominations in a row.
Nigerian singer, songwriter and iconic performer, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has bagged himself another Grammy nomination making it the third time in three years.
The Grammy-award winner bagged his first nomination with his “African Giant” album for “Best World Music Category” in the 2020 Grammy Awards. However, he lost to the legendary Angelique Kidjoe, who acknowledged and deicated her award to him when she received it.
He went on to bag another nomination with his ‘Twice as Tall‘ album in the “Best Global Music Album” category in the 2021 Grammy Awards. He was nominated alongside four others, including Malian band Tinariwen and US band Antibalas, and he won that category giving him his first ever Grammys.
For the third time in a row, the African giant has been nominated for the prestigious Grammy Awards, after being nominated in the category of “best global music performance” for a song titled “Do yourself” which he made with Angelique Kidjoe.
Tjis year also saw Burna Boy receive credit on ‘Justin Bieber’s Justice‘ for “Album of The Year“.
