Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos state has approved 30% bonus to public/civil servants in the state
– The head of State House of Service, Folasade Adesoye stated that the offer was to show appreciation to the workers and political appointees
– She urged public and civil servants should work harder so as to be worthy of more laudable gestures from the Lagos state government in return
In the generous spirit of yuletide, Lagos state governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, has approved 30% bonus to political office holders, public/civil servants in the state to boost their morale this season.
NAIJ.com gathered that the approval was signed by the State Head of Service (H.O.S.), Folasade Adesoye in a circular with Ref: No: CIR/HOS/17/Vol 1/087.
The circular, issued on Monday, December, 4 came with the title ‘2017 End of the Year bonus for Public/Civil Servants’. Adesoye stated that the offer was the governor’s appreciation and incentive to workers and political appointees for their effort to keep Lagos a center of excellence.
“His Excellency, Akinwunmi Ambode, the governor of Lagos state has noted, with appreciation and gratitude, the dedication and commitment of all public/civil servants in Lagos State.
“In consequence, His Excellency, the governor has graciously approved the payment of 30 per cent of basic salary to all political appointees, public and civil servants in the month of December 2017,” Adesoye explained.
According to Tribune, she further mentioned that in return, public and civil servants in the state public service should work harder so as to be worthy of more of such laudable gestures from Lagos state government.
